Not Forgotten

One of the joys my wardrobe provides is picking out a garment I have not worn in a while and forcing myself to wear it. There have been plenty of times when I backed out and reverted to wearing the same jeans and top, I have worn the preceding weeks. Its insane how self-confidence is reduced when wearing an item that has fallen out of favour of your taste. But there are times when you manage to hype yourself into wearing that garment and go a step further when creating a new outfit that gives all the looks.

This was one of those times where I picked out a shirt I have always liked, but always felt that it would be better suited for the workspace. And with working from home, months went by without it seeing the light of day. So…I decided to wear it and I now remember why I bought it in the first place.

I always pictured myself to have a wide variety of playful shirts that sorta kinda contradicted the seriousness of the workplace, and being 'that' young lady who looked fashionable, and didn’t let that compromise the quality of their work. I still love these shirts and given the opportunity; I would still get a wide variety of them.

The workplace was not the reason to bust this shirt out but a simple trip into town to run some errands. And now, my love for these shirts have been re-ignited.

This week, I rocked my Novelty Print Women’s Shirt and paired it with my baggy Wide-Leg Ripped Jeans and sandals. Novelty Print Shirts are cute and yet…you can present yourself with a level of class, when paired with work pants, heels, and good hairstyle. This time it was perfect for the warm and cloudy weather.
