The days started getting shorter, as everyone hurried home before the clock struck six. The distant setting of the sun teasing them with a little ray of warmth, and the misguided belief that the night at already reached nine, when in fact, it was still seven. Without uttering a word, they were all in agreement that they could come in a little late in the morning, after winning the mental warfare of whether or not to leave the warm and comfortable polar fleece and after enjoying the everlasting hot shower and makeshift sauna conditions. Just this time, they would not get upset at refusing to stay outside and would dash in and out of places with much intention and little patience. And while they had all begun to dust out their heavy-duty garments as all winter soldiers eventually do…this lone soldier’s inspiration was a casual, comfortable and dare I say ‘cute’ outfit. She adorned her Denim Trucker Jacket with her Black Long Sleeve Top, Black Slim Leg Work Pants with a tieable belt, and her much loved Adidas Superstars, confidently strutting through the cold streets of Maritzburg!
