Cargo pants are a garment that have always been around, but not necessarily in the forefront of trends. It would occasionally have a run of popularity then fade into the background when the next best thing comes round. In the noughties, Cargo pants… for me… were just another pair of pants that you could wear if you were not wearing jeans. There was nothing too spectacular to them, except the many pockets and hidden zips in which you could keep your coins safely when walking through town. These days, Cargo pants are still not the rock stars in the fashion industry but are worn by many women in the public eye, on socials, and by the average girl next door! They may even be referred to as Cargo Jogger pants in some stores and fashion pages. Women have been photographed adorning their Cargo pants with body snatched Crop tops, or much looser Crop tops that overlay the waistline, by pairing it with Bomber jackets, Leather jackets or even women’s Cropped Utility jackets. And depending on the occasion, women have worn boots or heels to kill off the outfit or paired it with sneakers for a relaxed vibe. Depending on your preference, there is a look for you to rock. At the moment, my personal favourite is pairing my Cargo pants with a long sleeve, tucked in and a pair of sneakers for a simple but stylish look.
