There are a few things in this world I feel strongly about; mangoes, pumpkin, Marmite, and cockroaches, are all things I can do without in my version of a perfect world. They make my taste buds crawl, and my body shiver with detestation. And this deep dislike has always infiltrated my feelings towards the colour Pink. Growing up, I viewed Pink has the flag bearer of all things girly, immature, and pretentious. I always saw a link between the girls who were obsessed with the colour and their forced personality trait of being soft and likeable. I was even against the social norm of buying pink coloured clothes for newborn baby girls, and blue for baby boys. I felt that this conditioning at infancy was unnecessary and presumptuous. But with life’s changing seasons, new experiences and crossing paths with amazing people, I have cared less and less about what the colour represents and have since let go of the need to fight social practices. Over the years, I have received gifts that were Pink and reminisced over my loud and proud feelings. I have even bought pink items on my own accord, and secretly chuckled at myself for how things have changed.

This past week, the sun has been serving good vibes, favourable for days out. And to show off my glowing skin and shoulders, I wore a Pink Bodysuit that complemented my skin tone. I have found that bodysuits are perfectly suited for curvy girls who want to achieve the ‘Tucked-in’ look as it presents a neat silhouette, and does not require one to constantly fix and fiddle through-out the day. And I paired it with my Wide-Leg Ripped Stonewash Jeans and Sandals, for the complete ‘Sun Kissed’ vibe!
