Somewhere along the historical timeline, middle aged women proudly adorned what we now call the Midi Dress. The ‘modest of all modest’ dresses covered their knees and shoulders, but still had skin game around the forearms. The feminine energy loudly on display with the neat silhouette of the dress. And the dress strictly worn to portray a well brought up and mannered woman of their century. I can only imagine how the outcast of that generation may have viewed such women with contempt…for colouring within the lines. Whereas today, the Midi Dress comes in so many variations, that no two women shall cross paths in the exact same dress. May it be off-the-shoulder, V-neck, button-up or zipped down; or side slit, middle slit, or no slit at all, the Midi Dress has captured the summer vibes of all women, that society cannot categorise the type of woman you are today. This week, I wore the Baby Blue & Floral Print Midi Dress, with a High Side-Slit Detail, paired with No-Name White Sneakers, and Rose Gold Aviators.
