Dressing up for your Girls

Over this past weekend, I attended the Ladies Love Conference at church which was themed ‘From Seed to a Flower…Accelerating your Growth’. The conference was centred on Psalm 92:12-15 specifically “planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God.” The day was a memorable one as we met and worshipped, spent time in the presence of God, heard the word about growing within the courts of God, and received important messages on women’s health and self-care! Although it was an amazing day for our individual walks with Christ, it was also an amazing day for the world of fashion (whether “it” realises it or not 😊). As you can tell from the theme, the ladies understood the assignment and went all out in their floral dresses, extravagant hats, stylish head gear and colourful outfits. Whether someone was wearing a pair of jeans paired with a statement blazer, or a trendy flare skirt and elegant ankle heels, every lady was dressed to impress! And this got me thinking about how women pull out all the stops in their wardrobes when it is time to meet with other women. Ladies Church Meetings is one prime example where women dress well…and what about those group lunch dates when all your girlfriends assemble for a time of food, selfies, and chit-chat! It is wholesome when women come together, and the fashion industry flourishes every time a gathering occurs. So here is to all the times you dressed to the nines for your fellow girlies…#FriesBeforeGuys, and here are just a couple of snaps of me in my Dobby-Mesh Long Sleeve Bodycon Dress in an Emerald Green colour (P.S. In cases like these, I will get into the habit of snapping other people’s outfits, with their permission of course, for your viewing).
