Runway fashion shows are a long-standing event where designers showcase their collections to industry leaders and style conscience individuals- literally the who’s who of the fashion industry. I too would tune in to television coverage that featured fashion shows in Paris, London and New York. But I would be lying if I did not admit that I never quiet understood the inspiration behind the designs, and for the life of me- I could not envision pairing the garments with anything I owned. It’s no surprise that runway designs didn’t appeal to me, as many of them where anything but minimalistic, classy-casual or tomboy chic. So, to come across a style series from an African designer whose pieces are both functional and gorgeous, fills me with a newly found excitement for what the fashion industry has to offer. And since I am in a celebratory mood…I thought it would be perfect to shine a light on a style series by Imad Eduso, which is perfect for any festivity.

Next is the Shocking Pink Abeke Skirt and the Yellow Adunni Top for a vibrant, bold and classy outfit which will radiate well under a night sky, or brighten any room on a nice sunny day.

And finally, the Green Jackie Tweed Skirt with hand sewn embellishments paired with the Yellow Adunni Top for a maximalist outfit, that will certainly turn heads!
Yours stylishly,
