As we wave Winter a warm goodbye, I stepped outside the house in my Light Grey Matching Set, Leather Jacket, and a pair of no-name Chunky Sneakers, which I never thought I would be into. But while I was looking for a bag that would go well with my outfit, I remembered the coveted bag collection that is laid out in my mother’s wardrobe and selected this vintage Cable Knit Leather Pattern Frame-Box Bag. The bag is elegant in its glossy appearance with two short and sturdy handles and a detachable cross-body strap. The bag locks with a pearl-like gold coated clip on the top of the box, while the gold coated hardware lines the middle part with a dark brown exterior. The contrast between my super chilled outfit and an elegant bag was definitely achieved. Not only did I feel good, but I was extremely comfortable and warm.
On the same day, I stopped by Foschini to admire their Spring clothing collection and spotted a Colette Hayman Steph Tag Mini bag in a Nude colour. I once again fell in love with a bag that cost way too much and could not be taken back home with me. Either way, the bag was in a textured Faux Leather and Matte Black hardware. Now, I am not one who is clued up in the different brands of handbags, but I have come to learn about Colette Hayman bags on offer such as the Laptop Tote Bag and the Hard-Shell Hand-Held Purse which would be perfect for an evening of glam. All these bags looked good and something in me just wanted them all. But thank goodness for self-control and ‘SENSE’, which allowed me to admire them while they were in their rightful places...on the store shelf. But I have now come to the realisation that my favourite fashion items are bags. When I think back to school days, I wanted to have a bag suitable for everything I did; like for my books, my stationary, sports clothes and even down to my toiletry bags. At varsity, I definitely used different bags which were determined by how I was feeling on that particular day, or the outfit I was wearing. And till this day, I am always on the lookout for the neatest back-pack or tote bag for my research shenanigans. Anyway, here is to the end of the Winter season!
